A British man has been arrested after he drove his car into a crowd of Liverpool FC fans celebrating their team's Premier League victory on Monday, resulting in dozens of people being hospitalised, including four children.
Police on Tuesday said the 53-year-old from the Liverpool area was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving on drugs.
They said he acted alone in the car ramming in the city in northwest England, adding that the incident was not being investigated as an act of terrorism.
