The UK police are investigating claims of a racist attack on a Jamaican-born senior citizen in Nottingham.
Winston Powell, 75, a deacon at the Church of God Assembly, told the Nottingham Post the incident took place in his local post office in Hyson Green.
He claimed a man punched him in the eye before spitting at him and hurling racist comments.
His family described the alleged attacker as a white man aged between 50 and 60.
Police are searching through CCTV footage for evidence and have asked witnesses to come forward to help their investigation.
