Federal investigators in the US are probing a Jamaican drug trafficking and money laundering organization operating in Atlanta, Georgia and elsewhere.
It is allegedly selling large quantities of cocaine, marijuana and MDMA/Ecstasy and shipping it through Federal Express, United Parcel Service and the U.S. Postal Service.
Investigators in a September 29 filing in federal court in Atlanta said the leader of the drug ring is an Atlanta man named Michael L. Bennett, who also goes by the alias "Bundown."
The federal investigators say Bennett is allegedly one of the largest brokers and distributors of cocaine and marijuana between the United States and a Mexican drug cartel and controls a distribution area from Boston to Florida.
Bennett is also accused of using various businesses in the Atlanta area to receive packages of illegal narcotics and launder the proceeds.
