Entertainer Vybz Kartel and five members of his Gaza empire are to stand trial on January 21, 2013, for the murder of Clive Williams.
The trial date was set Monday morning when the men appeared before the Home Circuit Court.
The other accused are Shawn" Storm "Campbell, Calvin Hay, Shane Williams, Andre St John and Kahira Jones.
Government prosecutors have declared that they were ready to proceed to trial.
Kartel and members of his crew were charged last year following investigations into the murder of Clive Williams otherwise called Lizard.
Investigators alleged that Mr. Williams was taken to a house in Havendale, St Andrew in August last year where he was beaten to death.
Investigators say they seized a cellular phone which recorded the killing.
Mr. Williams' body has not been found.
