Germaine Fyffe, 34, of Pondside in Yallahs, St. Thomas
died in the Kingston
Public Hospital
on Tuesday after he was hit by a drum which exploded while he was cutting it on
Monday.
It is reported that Mr. Fyffe, who was a welder, was using a torch to cut an empty ethanol drum when it exploded and hit him in the head.
He was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital but was transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
Mr. Fyffe succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
