Well known philanthropist - Ruby Martin is dead

Noted Philanthropist and Chairperson of the Ward Theatre Foundation, Ruby Martin, has died.
She reportedly passed away at home early Sunday morning, after being ill for some time.
She was 75.

Mrs. Martin is the widow of former Custos Rotulorum for St. Andrew, Dr. John Martin.
She is well-known for her long-standing work with the Maxfield Park Children's Home, where she served as Chairman from 1987-2007.

She was also well known for her passion and energy in the Ward Theatre Foundation.

Mrs. Martin was officially recognized for her outstanding contribution to volunteerism.

In 1996, she was a recipient of the Order of Distinction (OD) Officer Class.
