The Wolmer’s community is mourning the death of a fourth-form student who collapsed during class on Monday.
Radio Jamaica News understands that the student collapsed in class and was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
School was dismissed shortly after midday following the tragedy.
In a statement, the Wolmer's Joint Board of Management extended "its heartfelt condolences" to the parents, relatives, friends, classmates, teachers and all whose lives the student touched.
It said support is being provided to affected students and staff as they process the loss.
The school has also asked that the family's privacy be respected and urged the public to refrain from speculation or circulating unverified information about the circumstances surrounding the student's death.
