Jamaica’s zoos and theme parks will reopen today (Monday).
River rafting will also be allowed to resume.
These activities will be permitted for an initial period of two weeks, following which a review will be done on June 30.
There are still restrictions related to the reopening of these facilities however, with Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie, says zoos and theme parks will operate at 50 percent of capacity.
Joey Brown, curator at Hope Zoo, told Radio Jamaica News that COVID 19 protocols are in place for patrons.
