Bill Clinton in Haiti

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton arrived in Haiti on Wednesday  March 7 to promote the work of the Foundation that bears his name, created after the earthquake in January 2010.

The Foundation says Mr. Clinton plans to boost solar energy, health and education plans, as well as cooperation agreements with the Caribbean nation.

Clinton will  also visit several health centers and sectors related to education and food production.

Resources for Haiti's recovery are handled by the Interim Commission for the Reconstruction of Haiti, led by Clinton.

Haitian human rights organizations have criticized the support mechanisms of the Clinton Foundation, accused several times of corruption or building houses for the victims of the earthquake with toxic materials.
