Two persons die in Bahamas plane crash

 
Two persons died when a small plane crashed as it made an emergency landing on Thursday off the western coast of New Providence, Bahamas.
 
According to the Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority, a Piper Aztec aircraft was enroute to Lynden Pindling International Airport with six persons on board when the pilot encountered difficulties.
 
The pilot ditched the aircraft in waters approximately eight miles west of New Providence.
 
Officials said emergency response protocols were initiated by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Royal Bahamas Defense Force and the United States Coast Guard.
 
One of the victims was Emma Williams who was on her way to her mother's funeral in Lowe Sound, on the island of  Andros.
 
The second crash victim, Allen Russell, believed to be in his 80s, was a local taxi driver in Andros.
 
The four survivors, who were treated at a hospital following the incident, are said to be in stable condition.
