2000 Guineas winter-book favourite Run Thatcher Run obliged as the 1-5 favourite in landing the optional high claiming contest, against older horses, over 6 furlongs at Caymanas Park on Saturday. One of two winners for former champion jockey Omar Walker, Run Thatcher Run, won by 3 and a half lengths in 1-minute-12-and-three-fifths.
Meanwhile, his half-sister She's A Maneater, also ridden by Walker, captured the Chairman's Trophy over 7-and-half furlongs, in her seasonal debut, after being led most of the way by Chace The Great. The former Horse of the Year won by 3-and-a-half lengths in 1 minute and 32 seconds. Trainers Wayne DaCosta, Phillip Feanny and Anthony Nunes all saddled a double on the program. Racing continues on Wednesday.
