Jamaican Marlon Samuels guided the Antigua Hawksbills to their first win of the inaugural Limacol Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 with a 33 run victory over the St Lucia Zouks at the Beausejour Stadium last night.
Sent to bat the Hawksbills posted a challenging 166 for 6, led by Johnson Charles, 36 and 32 from Devon Thomas.
Samuels made just 12 but he returned with 3-10 while taking a catch to help restrict the Zouks to 133 for 8.
Tamim Iqbal top-scored with 33 while Liam Sebastien got 25 not out.
Both the hawks and the Zouks now have one win from their matches.
Later today the Jamaica Tallawahs will hunt a second win when they oppose the winless Trinidad and Tobago red steel at queens park oval in Port of Spain.
