"Bunny" Shaw's return to Reggae Girlz squad further delayed

Report by RJRGLEANER Group Sports Reporter Kayon Raynor

Captain Khadija “Bunny” Shaw's return to the Reggae Girlz squad has been further delayed, this time due to passport issues as a 22-member squad was named on Friday.

Shaw who missed the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifier against Paris St Germain last month after her club Manchester City failed to file a visa application in time, hasn't played for Jamaica in over a year. Former captain Konya Plummer is also absent due to passport issues.

Shaw and Plummer's absence have cleared the way for 4 first time call ups to the squad, namely Liverpool's Taylor Hinds, 20 year old Lulu Jarvis, Reanna Blades of Burnley and Ipswich Town's Natasha Thomas.

With the college season in full swing, coach Hubert Busby says the collegiate players were largely unavailable for this window. The Girlz will play away to world number 10 France on October 25.
