Creator of the Caribbean Football website and co-presenter of Caribbean Football Weekly Nathan Carr has warned that the future could be dismal for the Reggae Boyz if a systemic plan of action is not implemented.
Carr, who was at the Caribbean Cup in Martinique, pointed out that Curacao was always the better team on the field which he said was as a result of improvements that country had made to its football product. According to him, that could carry over to next month's Gold Cup.
“What Curacao has done is not success overnight. This has been a project with a lot of work so Curacao could get to the Gold Cup quarter finals. Personally I see Mexico and Curacao taking the top two places (in their group) and Jamaica finishing third,” said Carr who was speaking on Hitz 92 FM's Girls Sports Club on Monday.
