Shanel Spence found the back of the net five times, as Cavalier women leapfrogged defending champions Frazsiers Whip after their 11-2 victory over Federal United in action from the Jamaica Women's Premier League (JWPL) on Saturday.
Spence scored in the 4th, 5th, 8th, 52nd and second half stoppage time. Deshanna Cooke scored a hattrick for the Kingston-based team, while Shadie Shirley scored a brace and Jynell Graham also got in on the act. Cavalier are now at the top of the league with 19 points.
Meanwhile, Arnett Gardens women had a field day at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex as they thrashed Springers Unite 15-0.
