Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul was honoured Monday night by the Jamaica
Cricket Association, at an awards ceremony commemorating several West Indian cricket
milestones.
The function titled, "West Indies Cricket - back to winning", commemorated the West Indies' first tour of England 80 years ago.
The event also celebrated the 100th anniversary of George Headley's birth, the 60th anniversary of Sir Everton Weekes' world record of five consecutive test hundreds and the 50th anniversary of Sir Garry Sobers' world record 365 not out.
