Christopher Taylor gets two-year ban for anti-doping rule violation

By Kayon Raynor

Radio Jamaica Sports has been reliably informed that Tokyo Olympics 400m finalist Christopher Taylor has been slapped with a ban of two years and four months.

The sanction, which will be announced by the Athletics Integrity Unit shortly, comes as a result of his anti-doping rule violation of evading, refusing or failing to submit to sample collection.

He was facing the possibility of a four-year ban.

The ban, which is retroactive to November 2022, means that 24-year-old Taylor will miss next summer’s Olympics in Paris.

Taylor will be eligible to start training March 2025.
