Track Announcer Brian Rickman describing Wayne DaCosta's milestone victory and 'Seeking My Dream' winning the 'Legal Light Trophy'

Champion trainer Wayne DaCosta made all the headlines at Caymanas Park on Saturday. The reigning 15-time champion started the day tied on 1950 wins with former champion Phillip Feanny as the country's joint leading all-time trainers.

However, DaCosta would become the sole owner of the record when the 3 year old chestnut colt ‘Super Cop’ was guided to victory by Omar Walker in race number 8, a native bred 3 year old maiden condition race over 5 and a half furlongs.

DaCosta capped a memorable day when reigning Horse of the Year ‘Seeking My Dream’ also with Walker in the saddle, produced a brilliant performance to land the $1.2 million ‘Legal Light Trophy’ for Grade 1 horses over 9 furlongs and 25 yards.

Meanwhile, five grooms who have each given over 50 years service, were honoured as part of Grooms Appreciation Day.

One of the five, Fitzroy Tulloch got an additional incentive when he was announced as the winner of the 250 cc motor bike which was raffled for one lucky groom.
