Dany Wilson, who has represented Jamaica in both indoor and beach volleyball, has become the second national volleyball player to sign a contract with an overseas club since last month.
Wilson, who was voted best server in the 2008 Caribbean Volleyball Championships (CVC) and who paired with Mark Lewis to bring Jamaica acclaim in regional beach volleyball, will now ply his trade in Israel.
Transactions between his old club, Vikings, the Jamaica Volleyball Association (JAVA), the Israeli Volleyball Federation and his new club, Hapoel Kfar Aaba, were concluded on Friday.
Wilson's contract follows on the heels of that of Lecia Brown, who captained the national female volleyball team during the 2010 CVC.
Brown now plies her trade in Polish Volleyball League.
Negotiations for a third player to be offered a contract by a Greek club in September fell through.
