Donaldson takes charge of combined women's football camp

National senior women's assistant coach Lorne Donaldson will be in charge of a 32-member combined camp, called by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) for Under-20 and Under-17 teams. The squad which commenced training on Monday includes seven members of JFF Women’s League champions Waterhouse.

The camp is being used to select players for the upcoming CONCACAF Under-17 and Under-20 World Cup Qualifiers. The Waterhouse players are Laceyann Murray, Nevillegail Able, Rondel Gray, Shania Harris, Christina Salmon, Tiana Schroeter and Moesha McLaughlin.

One of the league's leading goal-scorers, Davia Richards, is among five members of ISSA schoolgirl champions Excelsior High that have been included in the squad. The others are Dejionne Anderson, Tiny Seaton, Latanya Burke and Shaniel Buckley.

Suen Gregory and Chrisann Roberts of beaten league finalists Cavalier have also been called up. Also included are Dreanna Thaw and Kalesia Mitchell of Meadowbrook as well as Trishanique Graham and Javanae Jones of Real Mona.

The training squad is completed by Nicole Wright of St Jago, Jada Douglas of Greater Portmore, Asya Miller of Bridgeport, Tiana Beswick of Denham Town, Andrene Smith of Papine, Dahlia Whyte of Garvey Maceo, Kerrisan Lawrence of Titchfield, Dannique Wilson of Mt Alvernia, Shaquilla Forbes of Arnett Gardens and  the unattached trio of Tyesha Bartley, Petagay Dixon and Tacia Austin.

The CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship will be held from February 22 to March 8 in the Dominican Republic while the Under-17 Championship will be held from March 21 to April 6. Three teams each from CONCACAF will advance to the FIFA Under-17 and Under- 20 World Cup tournaments. The training camp ends on Thursday.
