Fowler named in Netball World Cup team of the tournament

After pouring in 302 goals at the Netball World Cup in the summer in Cape Town, South Africa, Sunshine Girls captain Jhanielle Fowler was on Thursday named in the World Cup team of the tournament.

Fowler guided the Sunshine Girls to a bronze medal at the tournament, their first podium finish since 2007.

She is the only Jamaican in the seven, that has four Australians, Courtney Bruce, Jamie Lee Price, Ash Brazill and Liz Watson and two English women, Fran Williams and Helen Housby.

Australia claimed their 12th gold medal following a 61-45 win over England.
