Jamaica's 5-time world 100 metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce headlines the women's 100 metres for the Brussels Diamond League meet on September 2. This will be the penultimate Diamond League meeting before the series final in Zurich.
Fraser-Pryce who is currently third in the 100m qualification diamond league standings is expected to battle the likes of British star Dina Asher-Smith, Marie-Josée ta Lou of the Ivory Coast and US star Sha'Carri Richardson.
The 35 year old Fraser-Pryce, who secured world leading victories in Silesia and Monaco, is seeking to secure her place in the final in Zurich and will most likley to do when she competes in Lausanne on August 26.
Ta Lou is the only woman to have already booked her place in the final, securing qualification when she stormed to a third place finish and African record of 10.72 seconds in Monaco last week.
The Brussels diamond league will be the 12th meeting of the season and the last chance for athletes to qualify for the series finale.
