GC Foster College are once again celebrating Intercol Athletics Championship success after retaining both titles on Thursday at their Spanish Town campus.
GC Foster men tallied 202 points to finish 72 points clear of UTech with UWI Mona completing the top three on 103 points.
The going was much closer in the female category where GC Foster squeezed out a nail-biting victory over UTech. The GC Foster women amassed 194 points, just one more than their arch rivals. UWI rounded out the top three on 99 points.
Meanwhile, UTech sprinter Krystal Sloley captured the women's 100 metre timed final, clocking 11.19 seconds to beat defending champion Mickaell Moodie of GC Foster College 11.27 and her UTech teammate Kishawna Niles in 11.31 seconds. It was Sloley's first 100 metre race of the season.
Defending champion Rasheed Foster of Mico University retained his title in the men's equivalent, also contested as a timed final.
He posted a personal best-equalling 10.12 seconds to finish ahead of UTech's Dominic Williams 10.24 and Jace Witter of GC Foster College who did 10.45 seconds.
