Hydel girls shatter COA 4x100m record at the Penn Relays

Hydel High shattered the girls 4x400m Championship of America record, while Edwin Allen secured victory in the 4x100m to highlight Jamaican high school performances on Saturday's final day of the 129th Penn Relays at the Franklin Field Stadium at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. 

The quartet of Natassia Fletcher, Abigail Campbell, Sashana Johnson and Jody Ann Daley, clocked an outstanding new meet record of 3 minutes, 30.42 seconds to take top honours.

Edwin Allen triumphed in the high school girls Championship of America  4x100m, posting 44.23 seconds to secure victory ahead of Hydel High who were second in 44.65.

Alphansus Davis had to settle for second in the high school girls Championship of America 4x800m, clocking 8 minutes, 46.23 seconds to finish behind IMG Academy who won in 8 minutes, 40.51.
