Iconic coach Stephen Francis lauded at Thanksgiving Service

The life of legendary coach Stephen Francis was exemplified on Saturday, as the local, regional and international track and field fraternities paid their final respects at a Thanksgiving Service at the National Indoor Sports Centre.

Minister of Sports, Olivia Grange also revealed another way in which Francis will be honoured, in association with the Univeristy of Technology, home of the MVP Track Club, noting that a scholarship named after Francis, will be offered to a track and field student athlete. Francis died on July 4 at the age of 64.
