Jackson headlines list of Jamaicans for Marrakech Diamond League

2-time world 200 metre champion Shericka Jackson headlines a host of Jamaicans down to compete at the Marrakech Diamond League meet in Morrocco on Sunday.

In what will be her first Diamond League meet of the season, Jackson will contest the women's 200 metres where she will face the likes of Switzerland's Mujinga Kambundji. The MVP-based athlete will be looking to defend both the 100 and 200 metre Diamond League titles this season.

She opened her season over 100 metres at a JAAA All Comers meet on May 3, clocking 11.03 seconds.
Other Jamaicans slated to compete on Sunday are 2-time World Championship bronze medlalist Rushell Clayton who lines up in the women's 400 metre hurdles along with compatriots Shiann Salmon and Janieve Russell.

2011 world champion Yohan Blake and reigning national champion Rohan Watson are down to compete in the men's 100 metres.

Recent world indoor bronze medalist Rusheen McDonald will contest the men's 400 metres.

2019 World Championship silver medalist Federick Dacres and Traves Smikle will contest the men's discus. Another 2019 World Championship silver medalist, Danniel Thomas-Dodd, will compete in the women's shot put.
