Jamaican jockey wins his first race of new season at ASD

Jamaican jockey Arthur Budhu rode his first winner of the season on the Canadian circuit on Tuesday night when he landed the third event at Assiniboia Downs in Winnepeg aboard the 4-1 dark bay gelding Hearoseoneaster.

The event was confined to 3 year old and up over 7-and-a-half furlongs on the dirt for a purse of $9500. Budhu who started riding on the Canadian circuit in 2018, has so far ridden a total of 8 winners over the 4 year period.
