JA/T&T & CCC/Windwards Regional Four Day semis

Defending champions Jamaica will play away to Trinidad and Tobago in this weekend's semi-finals of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Regional Four Day competition while the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) team will host the Windward Islands at the 3W’s Oval in Barbados.

The pairings were confirmed on Sunday after Jamaica earned a draw against the England Lions in their seventh round game at Sabina Park in Kingston while Trinidad and Tobago defeated Guyana and the CCC team defeated Barbados.

Jamaica, who were set 275 to win in two sessions, ended on 184 for 9.

Chadwick Walton 53, Brendan Nash 49 and Captain Tamar Lambert 24 were the main scorers.

James Harris took 4 for 42 and Danny Briggs 4 for 57 to end with 9 wickets in the game.

The England Lions, who trailed by 18 runs on first innings, had declared their second innings closed on 292 for 4.

Jamaica with 51 points have finished third in the table and will contest a semi-final away to Trinidad and Tobago and will do so without Chris Gayle, who is due to injury.

Gayle has been diagnosed with a small hernia resulting from an abdominal tear.

He was rested twice during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 because of the injury.

T&T beat Guyana by an innings to progress to the semis

Meanwhile, the Trinidadians, led by Imran Khan's match haul of 8 for 144, beat Guyana by an innings and 45 runs on the final day of their seventh round game in Providence on Sunday.

Replying to 434, Guyana were dismissed for 216 with Rajendra Chandrika making 90.

Amit Jaggernauth took 5 for 41 and Khan 4 for 99.

Asked to follow on, Guyana were dismissed for 173 as Khan took 4 for 45 and Yannick Cariah 5 for 65.

Set 173 to win, the CCC team scored 175 for 5, with Captain Omar Phillips making 78 not out and Jamaican Nkrumah Bonner 32.

The victory, the CCC's fourth this season, pushed them to a table topping 57 points.

They will host the fourth placed team, the Windward Islands, who are assured of the fourth spot after taking first innings honours in their game with the Leeward Islands at Beausejour Stadium in Saint Lucia.

The Windward Islands responding to 72 all out declared on 318 for 9.
