US equities markets closed mixed again on Tuesday as investors analysed the second quarter corporate earnings reports posted by technology companies
The broader S&P 500 closed at another record level, while the 30-share Dow Jones Industrial Average also climbed, but the technology driven Nasdaq dipped on the back of the fall in the stock prices of Nvidia, Broadcom, Taiwan Semi-Conductor Company, Lockheed Martin and Phillip Morris.
European markets tumbled for the third straight day in response to falling stock prices as investors assessed second quarter earnings reports.
Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed, however, on political uncertainty generated by the loss of the governing coalition's majority in the Japanese Upper House.
