The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has submitted a bid to host the second round of CONCACAF's Caribbean qualifiers in August. This was confirmed by JFF General Secretary Dalton Wint in an interview with RJR Sports. And with Jamaica having successfully hosted the 2013 CONCACAF Under 17 and the 2015 CFU Under 20 tournaments, the JFF believes the country is adequately poised to host the qualifiers.
“We want our girls to get the best shot at qualifying for the World Cup and so here comes the opportunity to apply for hosting and we have done so. Hopefully they will look at it favourably and give us a positive result,” said Wint.
