Kirk Brown and Kris-Ann Lewis win Guardian 5Ks

Kirk Brown and Kris-Ann Lewis captured the main titles at the Kingston leg of the Guardian Group's 5K night race. 

The event which was staged in aid of charity, saw many of the top local road runners in action, and Brown ensured he went one better than last year's event when he placed second. He stopped the clock in a smart 15 minutes and 40 seconds with Dwayne Graham 11 seconds behind.

Lewis, who made a rare appearance on the local circuit proved too strong for her female competitors as she secured the main prize in 19 minutes and 31 seconds.

Krystal Brown posted 19 minutes 50 seconds to finish second, while Danielle James faded to a surprise third position in 20 minutes and 11 seconds.
