A double from Phillip Dawson led Jamaica hockey team to a 3-0 victory over Panama at the Central America Caribbean (CAC) Games qualifier in Mexico City on Tuesday. Dawson gave the Jamaicans the lead in the 4th minute, with Daniel Powell adding the second in the 15th minute.
Dawson sealed the win with his second goal just two minutes later. With this win, the Jamaicans now boast a record of 2 wins and 1 loss, following their earlier victory against Guatemala and their sole defeat to Venezuela.
The team currently sit third in the pool standings on 6 points, trailing Mexico who are on 7 points and Venezuela 9 points.
