2022 World U20 200 metre champion Brianna Lyston has decided to join the professional ranks. The decision means Lyston has officially ended her collegiate career at Louisiana State University (LSU) in the United States.
The 20 year old who won the 2024 SEC 60 metre title, spent three years at LSU, where she also had her battles with injuries.
The former Hydel and St Jago High standout, owns a personal best of 10.91 seconds for the 100 metres and 22.31 seconds for the 200 metres. It's not yet known which coach will be guiding Lyston at the senior level. Lyston had previously signed a name, image and likeness, NIL deal with Adidas in February 2024.
