Arguably the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi, made his first ever appearance on Caribbean soil, as Inter Miami defeated Cavalier 2-0 in their return leg CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 contest at the National Stadium on Thursday night.
Messi who came on as a second half substitute with 37 minutes remaining, scored the game's second goal in time added.
Veteran striker Luis Suarez got the opening goal, a 37th minute penalty to give Inter Miami the victory, as they advanced to the quarter finals 4-0 on aggregate. Inter Miami will meet Los Angeles FC in the quarter finals.
