Netball Jamaica announces final squad for Commonwealth Games

Netball Jamaica has announced its final squad to the represent Jamaica at the Commonwealth Games later this month.

The squad which has an equal share of youth and experience, will rely on veteran players  -  Kasey Evering, Paula Thompson, Nicole Aiken- Pinnock, Malysha Kelly and Sasher-Gay Henry.

Recently returned ANZ professional shooters, Romelda Aiken and Jhaniele Fowler-Reid will be the backbone of the Sunshine Girls.

World Youth bronze medallists Thristina Harwood, Vangelee Williams, Khadijah Williams and  Shanice Beckford has all made the cut after a smooth transition from the Under 21 to the senior squad.  

As the Girls seek to make their 'golden run' at the July 23 to August 3, it will serve a christening for reserves Nicole Dixon, a former Under 17 player and Deneen Taylor, former Under 21 player.

The final list has seen the axing of Shamera Sterling, Shantal Slater, Patricia McCalla and Kadene Marshall who were all completing for place on the final 12.
