National champion Malik James-King clocked his second fastest time ever, 47.73 seconds to place 4th in the men's 400 metre hurdles.
The event was won by world leader Rai Benjamin in 46.67 ahead of world record holder and reigning Olympic and world champion Karsten Warholm of Norway in 46.73 and Brazilian Alison Dos Santos 47.18 seconds. Andrew Hudson with 20.43 seconds, was also 4th in the men's 200 metres.
Botswanian star Letsile Tebogo sped to an impressive 19.87 seconds ahead of Alexander Ogando of the Dominican Republic 20.02 and Tarsis Orgot of Uganda 20.32.
In the field, 2-time World Championship silver medalist Shanieka Ricketts had to settle for 4th in the women's triple jump.
She leapt 14.67 metres to finish behind Leyanis Hernandez-Perez who produced a season's best 14.96 metres.
Compatriot Ackelia Smith placed 5th with 14.30 metres.
