The Queen's Royal College for boys and Bishop Anstey High School for girls from Trinidad & Tobago are among the overseas teams scheduled to participate in the 2024 edition of the Gibson McCook Relays on February 24.
Those schools are the respective winners of high school track and field in the twin island republic last season.
Queen's Royal College has produced a number of Olympians including medallist Wendell Mottley from 1964 as well Deon Lendore, Marc Burns and Jehue Gordon.
Queen’s Royal College were also 4th in the boys international section of the sprint relay at last year's Penn Relays behind Excelsior, Calabar and Herbert Morrison.
Up to JMD $1 million will be available in prizes for best performances in all categories along with any record.
Live coverage of the Gibson McCook Relays will be aired on TVJ, TVJ Sports Network, Hitz 92 FM and 1spotmedia.com starting at 9:30 am with 42 events down to be contested.
Tickets will go on sale on Monday, February 19 at the National Stadium's ticket office.
