Phillips retains men's title at Max Brown Vacations Clay Court Tennis Tournament

Defending champion Randy Phillips says he was surprised by his convincing victory over Damion Johnson on Monday at the Max Brown Vacations Clay Court Tennis Tournament in Negril to retain his title.

Phillips, who won his semi-final 6/0, 6/0 on Sunday, was again in a punishing mood as he sailed through the final with a similar victory to take the $250,000 prize money.

The women's final went to Ffion Fletcher got the better of top seed Shea-Ann Kameca in straight sets, 7/5, 6/0 to lift the trophy along with the $95,000 cash prize.
