Podium finish for Ricketts at Monaco Diamond League

National triple jump champion Shanieka Ricketts finished third in the women's triple jump on day one of the two-day Monaco Diamond League meet.

Ricketts cut the sand at 14.67 metres while Commonwealth champion Kimberly Williams was fourth with a season's best mark 14.46 metres.

Meanwhile, five Jamaicans will be in action on Friday's second day. Double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson will compete in the women's 200 metres where she will face off with Bahamian Shaunae Miller-Uibo, Dutch sprinter Dafne Schipphers and Marie Josee Ta-Lou of the Ivory Coast.

2015 world champion Danielle Williams will line up in the women's 100 metre sprint hurdles, her first Diamond League meet since her disqualification at the National Senior Championships. Williams will have the company of world leader and Jamaican record holder Janeek Brown. National champion Rushell Clayton and Janieve Russell will face the starter in the women’s 400m hurdles.
