Race for last automatic JPL semi-final place going down to the wire

The race to secure the last semi-final spot in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL) is going down to the wire, following Arnett Gardens' 3-1 win over relegated Vere United at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Monday.

Arnett are now on 70 points, two behind second placed Montego Bay United who they are challenging for the last automatic semi-final spot.

Cavalier left Chapelton Maroons in deeper trouble as only goal difference is keeping them out of the relegation zone. Cavalier won 2-0 to leapfrog Portmore United into fourth place.
