Rivoli, Cavalier relegated from RSPL

Rivoli United and Cavalier were relegated from the nation's top flight football league on Sunday while Humble Lion grabbed the last semi final spot in the Red Stripe Premier League. Rivoli United lost 2-0 to Humble Lion courtesy of a double strike from Levaughn Williams.

Williams' double strike ensured Humble Lion secured the last spot in the semi finals. Cavalier lost 1-0 away to Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.

Andre McFarlane in the 17th minute. Cavalier finished with ten men as Jeffrey Grant was red-carded in time added for a second yellow card.

Waterhouse secured their survival with an emphatic 3-0 win over Boys’ Town at Drewsland. Reno were spared the drop despite a 2-1 defeat at home to UWI FC while Montego Bay United consolidated third place with a 2-0 win at home against Harbour View.

Portmore United finished the league on top by one point after being humbled 3-1 at home by defending champions Arnett Gardens. 

Portmore United however collected $1 million for topping the league after 33 games.
