Former champions Rusea’s High ensured they are Zone “B” winners in the ISSA DaCosta Cup following a 0-0 draw with Frome Technical on Friday.
The result meant that Rusea’s ended the first round with 20 points, one ahead of Frome Technical.
Meanwhile, Zone “J” winners Dinthill Technical distanced themselves from second placed McGrath High by six points after brushing aside Enid Bennett 4-1.
Zone “N” leaders Happy Grove closed out their zone by outscoring Fair Prospect 3-2. Happy Grove were led by a double strike from Sean Williams whose goals came in the 7th and 90th minutes.
Port Antonio wrapped up second place with a 2-0 win over bottom placed Titchfield.
In games of academic interest only, Maggotty were 6-5 winners over Newell High, Annotto Bay toppled St Mary Technical 4-2, while York Castle outscored Ferncourt 3-1 in Zone "C".
