Voices of Jamaica's women's bobsleigh team members Audra Segree and Carrie Russell

Sprinters Carrie Russell and Audra Segree are back home from the recent Winter  Olympic Games appearance  in South Korea and say they have been bitten by the bobsleigh bug. Russell and Segree were members of Jamaica's history-making bobsleigh female team to the the Peyongchang Games and have hinted that their track and field careers could be put on ice for the sled.

I mean I’m leaning more to the bobsleigh side than the track and field side right now so I don’t know if Mr Chris (Stokes) wants me back on his team so I’m just looking forward to going back into training,” said Segree.

Russell in the meantime, is weighing her options. “I think I will have to wait until Mr (Stephen) Francis comes back from the World Indoor Games and then we’ll have this discussion but I think it’s fully bobsleigh now for me and that’s the plan and the objective,” she said.

Russell was a member of Jamaica’s women’s sprint relay gold medal team at the 2013 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Moscow.
