Sunshine Girls finetuning preparations for Fast 5 World Series

Report by RJRGLEANER Group Sports Reporter Jordan Forte

The depth of Jamaica's netball programme will be tested come next month as the senior Sunshine Girls will be engaged in the Fast 5 World Series in Christchurch and a 4-match series against England Roses.

The Fast 5 team doesn't have fond memories of Christchurch, where the World Series will be played as they finished 5th at the same venue last year.

Some young faces are in this squad, but Amanda Pinkney will be making her third trip to the tournament for the shorter version of the game. Kimone Shaw is also going on her third trip to the Fast 5 World Series.

Fast-rising Zaudi Green and Tiffany Langley are first time call ups. Dalton Hines and Nardia Hanson will be co-coaches.

Hines told Radio Jamaica Sports that they are also making sure the players are aware of changes in the game's fast pace format.
