Jamaica's Sunshine Girls were beaten 39-19 by hosts nation New Zealand in their opening game at the 2024 Fast 5 Netball World Series at the Wolfbrook Arena in New Zealand.
The Sunshine Girls trailed 11-3; 21-8 and 25-15 in the first three quarters. Goal shooter Amanda Pinkney had 6 goals from 10 attempts for the Jamaicans.
Jamaica's second match of the day will be against England at 9:30 pm, while they'll will close out the day against South Africa at 1:30 Saturday morning Jamaica time.
Australia are the defending champions.
