Six of the seven players currently based in Australia, have made the Sunshine Girls final squad of twelve for the upcoming Netball World Cup in South Africa.
Captain Jhaniele Fowler along with Romelda Aiken-George, Shamera Sterling, Latanya Wilson, Jodi-Ann Ward and Kadian Dehaney are the players who currently ply their trade in Australia's Suncorp Super Netball League.
The 12-member squad is completed by Shanice Beckford, Nicole Dixon-Rochester, Crystal Plummer, Rebekah Robinson, Adean Thomas and Khadijah Williams.
Shimona Nelson, the other Sunshine Girl based in Australia along with Kimone Shaw and Abigale Sutherland are the three players that have not made the final cut.
However, they have been named as reserves and will also travel to the tournament.
Netball Jamaica had named a provisional 15-member squad on June 6 and today was the deadline to submit the 12 for the tournament to World Netball.
The 16th staging of the Vitality Netball World Cup is set for July 28 to August 6 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Sunshine Girls best placing at the Netball World Cup were third place finishes at the 1991, 2003 and 2007 editions. The Jamaicans will face Sri Lanka in their first match at the tournament on July 28.
