The Jamaica Tallawahs recorded their second win of the 2020 Caribbean Premier League, beaten the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 5 wickets in a low-scoring game at the Queen’s Park Oval on Tuesday night. The Tallawahs were led with the bat by the Jamaican trio of Andre Russell who made 23 not out, Nkrumah Bonner 30 unbeaten and Jermaine Blackwood 23 in making 113-5, needing 109 to win.

Earlier, the Amazon Warriors who were sent in to bat, were restricted to 108-9 in their 20 overs. Ross Taylor 23, Naveen ul Haq 20 and Nicholas Pooran 15, made most runs against Mujeeb ur Rahman 3-11 and Fidel Edwards 3-30.
The Tallawahs lost the first meeting with the Amazon Warriors by 14 runs on Saturday. The Tallawahs are fourth in the 6-team table on 4 points, two behind the Trinbago Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, Evin Lewis single-handedly led the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to a 6 wicket win over the Barbados Tridents in the earlier game on Tuesday at the Queens Park Oval.
Chasing 152 to win, the Patriots got to their target for the loss of 4 wickets off 19.3 overs. Lewis led the way with an aggressive 89 off 60 balls including 9 sixes and 2 fours.
Ben Dunk also made 22 and Denesh Ramdin 20. Batting first, the Tridents had posted 151-7 with Corey Anderson top-scored with 31.
Shai Hope also made 29 and Ashley Nurse 25 for the Tridents against Jon-Russ Jaggesar 2-17. This was the third defeat in four games for the Barbadian franchise.
The competition continues on Wednesday with St Lucia Zouks playing the unbeaten Trinbago Knight Riders in the early game with the Tallawahs back in action against the Tridents.
