Thompson-Herah leads 12 Jamaicans in action at Prefontaine Classic

Back to back Olympic double sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah is set to headline 12 Jamaicans down to compete at the Eugene Diamond League meet, the Prefontaine Classic in Oregon on Saturday. 

Thompson-Herah will be making her season debut when she lines up in the women's 100 metres at the Eugene Diamond League on Saturday in Eugene, Oregon. 

She will battle the likes of American world champion Sha’Carri Richardson, Ivorian Mari Jose Talou-Smith and St Lucia's Julien Alfred.

Thompson-Herah's personal best of 10.54 seconds for the 100 metres was set on the same track in Eugene at the 2021 edition of the meet.

Other Jamaicans down to compete include Olympic champion Hansle Parchment and world champion Danielle Williams.
