In a command performance inside Kingston's National Stadium, Waterhouse F.C. defeated Panama's Tauro F.C. 4-1 Thursday night to take over the lead in Group-4 of the Concacaf Champion's League.
Waterhouse was always on the attack in the first ever Concacaf Champions league match in Jamaica, as Jermaine "Tuffy" Anderson opened the scoring in the 13th minute from 7-yards after Demarley Samuels turned provider. The floodgates seemed to burst open as Demarley Samuels added the 2nd in the 22nd minute, Anderson notched his second goal in the 55th minutes before Jose Luis Garcia scrambled one back in the 64th minute for Tauro.
But Neicko Williams became the insurer two minutes in time added on, when he netted Waterhouse's 4th goal.
With the victory, Waterhouse who defeated Tauro in Panama, now lead the Group4 standings with 6-points from 3 matches , followed by DC united 3 points from 1 match while Tauro is tumbling down the standings without a point from two matches and in danger of being eliminated.
Waterhouse will next be in action in Jamaica on September 16 when they host DC United who clipped them 1-0 in the U.S.A.
A win or draw in that encounter will see Waterhouse through to the Championships Round.
