West Indies women take 2-0 lead over New Zealand

West Indies women again made light work of their New Zealand opponents to take an unbeatable two-nil lead in their four-match ICC Championship at Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts, on Sunday.

The regional side, which won the first game by 5 wickets, eased to a 65-run victory to accumulate another two points in the ICC championship table. They first amassed 246 for 5, with Deandra Dottin leading the way with 82 from 99 balls.

Jamaica's Stafanie Taylor chipped in with 50 from 41 deliveries, Kycia Knight made 48 and Shermain Campbelle, 27.

Anisa Mohammed then snared  4 for 32, while Taylor and Shanel Daley had two wickets each as New Zealand were dismissed for 181 in 45.3 overs. Sophie Devine top scored with 89.

Dottin was named player of the match.

The third game will be played on Wednesday.
